Anthony Miller

Anthony was born in Iowa, raised in a military family that gave him the opportunity to grow up in England, North Dakota, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and California. After having kids, Anthony and his wife Jessica decided to plant their roots and raise their family in the valley for the small town and outdoor lifestyle they grew up with.

Anthony studied marketing and advertising at UCSD and built a career in digital marketing working in corporate and agency roles. Today he owns and operates Tower33, an advertising agency that specializes in acquisition marketing services for industries that include education, nonprofit, real estate, and tourism. In his advertising career, he’s had the opportunity to work with hundreds of companies that include United Way, Trex, Rip Curl, Olukai, Qualcomm, and The University of Arizona.

Outside of his work in advertising, he serves on the board for the EO Idaho (Entrepreneurs Organization) Accelerator program and the board of directors for a private for-profit corporation. Anthony has served as a local chapter President for the American Advertising Federation’s AD2 and The San Diego Advertising Fund for Emergencies.

Anthony looks forward to bringing his experience to help serve at Syringa Mountain School.

CJ Edwards

CJ joined the workforce immediately after high school as a full-time floor mechanic. He offered his services across Idaho, Utah, Oregon, and even Washington! After 5 years, he decided on a career change and worked for the Cassia School District for 2 years as part of their Maintenance & Custodial team until the school district switched employers. When CJ had some free time during his summer vacations, he volunteered his time with Syringa with maintenance and custodial work when needed. And that’s how CJ’s story with Syringa began!

Fun Fact: CJ’s full name is Clifford James Edwards. He got his nickname CJ from his initials.

Janessa Corrao-Bal

Janessa, like many other faculty at Syringa, was raised here in the valley. After graduating from the University of Vermont in 2020 with her bachelor of social work she returned to the Wood River Valley. Last year she spent her time substituting and skiing before taking a full-time position at Wood River Middle School as an academic coach. There she fostered a love for teaching and being part of a school community. Since then, Janessa has started her journey towards becoming a teacher and is currently working towards a masters in arts education. She could not be happier to be a member of the Syringa community this year!
